SPOTLIGHT

The spotlight today points toward our most recent release, Icy Words.  We will discuss what sparked the idea for this software and why it so much fun to play.

The game was first created for my mother. She had been diagnosed with Alzheimers and I tried to envision a game that would help her mind continue to work and focus while she was in the early stages of the disease. This game is the result of what I came up with.  Unfortunately, she would never be able to play the game due to a hardware failure.  The laptop that I had done all the development on had a massive hard drive crash and at the time I hadn't realized how precious backups were.

The project stayed idle in the back of my mind for many years.  When I decided to start this company, I thought that this would be a great first release. It's fun and addicting for adults and easy to pick up and play for kids while teaching them spelling in a fun and interactive way. It's got a universal appeal. Because of the way that this game was conceived, we will be donating $1 from each purchase of the software to the Alzheimer's Association to help with research, care, and support.

One of the many things that make this game so much fun to play is that everything is random. What this means is that every game you play will be completely different. It's also full of surprises, as the letters drop, you will be surprised when words you didn't even plan for suddenly find their way into the game and add to your score. As you progress, you will get new blocks with different functionality such as bombs that allow you to blow up surrounding blocks. It's also a game that is very easy to pick up and play for both kids and adults. We hope that you will check out our game and have non-stop fun! Thank you for supporting us.
